Corporate Security
For When people try to make their computers secure, they’re looking for the right tool to make them secure Security, is a balancing act where the thin beam on which corporate are walking keeps changing direction. It is not possible to pick the right answer and stick with it, one has to maintain personal security awareness, and an ongoing ability to make good decisions based on that awareness.
Real security is not something one can have just by erecting walls and setting guards at the points of ingress and egress. One has to help others secure themselves, too, because until (nearly) everybody is able to maintain his or her own security, there will always be significant threats to the corporate.
Poor security is both individual and collective in nature: every individual must see to his or her own security, and everyone’s security is dependent to some degree on the security of everyone else
data.
Bot nets
Many would claim that Linux systems are the most scalable in the world . the biggest grid-computing system in the world will almost certainly a botnet for the foreseeable future, not designed to run on a scalable OS, but on an OS whose security against infection is easy to compromise. As the technical security features of various systems get more sophisticated, the malware used to propagate botnets becomes more slimmer, sleeker, and harder to find.
Standards and Frameworks
Ultimately, corporate security is not just a matter of individual security. It is a matter of everybody’s individual security. Improving security involves not only choosing the best tools and techniques, but advocating them for others as well, and educating those others. Standards like ISO 27001 and numerous security frameworks are in place to constantly help in evaluating the security status of corporate eco systems.
Proper deployment of the security frameworks, constant education and regular security practices help the corporate stabilize the eco-system.
Security is an ecosystem — not a product. One cannot buy it except at the cost of giving it away.
